Doha:Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including heart attack or near drowning, in which someone's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. Hamad international training center Cardiologist Dr.Abdul Rasheed said. The heart is the major life source of man. It supplies the brain with oxygen that enables it to send signals to other parts of the body. Once the heart is damaged, all other bodily functions are affected. It is very important that any heart problems be diagnosed and treated early to prevent the heart from getting damaged which can lead to a heart attack and eventually to a cardiac arrest. Heart attack is not a cardiac arrest but heart attack will lead to cardiac arrest, if it is not treated as soon as possible. Dr.Rasheed explained.
He was speaking at health awareness program that organized Mullassery area Mahallu based Udayam Padanavedy in coordination with Hamad international training center.
The function had begun with Holly Quran recitation by Yasir Kelandathe. Audience were welcomed by Udayam president Abdul Azeez Manjiyil and proposed vote of thanks by Programe coordinator Abdul Jaleel M.M.
